05 Dec By the River in the News
In November of 2019, By the River in Marlborough was highlighted in the Marlborough News Bulletin as a new residential home care facility that has a unique approach to keep people smiling. The article outlines a story of one of the residents who has been to numerous facilities and has found her time at By the River to be a step above the rest. The daughter of resident Joyce Lence says, “I adore it. I think what draws mostly is the kindness of the staff, the thoroughness of the staff and how much they go out of their way to make you feel loved and special.”
The article sheds light on how this facility has been the dream of owner Corinne DiBacco for the past nine years and she has worked hard to make it a reality. The idea was to create a smaller sized residential facility (ten residents) that allows more one-on-one care opportunities.
Like standard assisted living facilities, the residence is equipped with features like an elevator and is equipped throughout to assist those residents who may require walkers or wheelchairs. There is also a beautiful kitchen and dining area, as well as staff that helps with meal preparation. The way the home is arranged also makes it a great place for families to visit. DiBacco said, “Family members love to visit. It’s not a chore to visit their family because they feel like they are apart of the family when they come here.”
There are only five spots left in this residential facility, but DiBacco is already working on creating a similar ten-resident facility on the same road to provide another cost-efficient residential care facility, with specialized and individualized care for those seeking residency.
