Unsurprisingly, those meaningful connections extend to our warm, thoughtful caregivers as well. Every single day, your loved one is guaranteed to receive tender, compassionate support (as needed) with the activities of daily living — dressing, showering, cleaning, making meals, taking medications, etc. — to ensure they thrive not just in body and mind, but also socially and emotionally. Best of all, there’s no hiring or management headaches, as our highly trained staff are personally managed by a 33-year geriatric nurse, and provide a consistently higher quality of loving care than is possible in a larger institution.
Residential Care homes are found in regular neighborhoods and they provide non-medical custodial care for elderly adults. By The River in Marlborough, CT is a single family residence which serves 10 elderly residents. By the River in Marlborough offers a home-like setting for people who need assisted living but might not want to be in a larger, more commercial setting.
This family-like atmosphere is fostered by a caring staff, which is typically higher than the same ratio in a nursing home or assisted living community. Just as all homes are unique, residential care homes are not all the same. Our goal is to offer as comfortable a setting as our residents have had at home. Added to this is the service of our geriatric Care Nurse as the administrator of the home. Her knowledge of the needs of the residents is remarkable.
By the River in Marlborough is a private pay home nestled in a residential neighborhood bordered by the Black Ledge River. By The River in Marlborough would accept long term care insurance benefits. This type of care home is a good fit for many elderly adults. Many of them can provide care until the end of a life, and helps residents feel like they are living in their own homes.

By the River 2 is the newest addition to the By the River family, offering the same heartfelt, home-like experience that has made our original location a trusted choice for senior care. While both homes provide personalized, compassionate support, By the River 2 expands our mission by welcoming new residents into a thoughtfully designed space where independence and community thrive.

I have personally known Corinne Dibacco, RN for several decades and am grateful for the opportunity to share her qualities as a person and professional. We have worked together in several institutions and at different levels of care and I have always found her to be affable, approachable and advocate for her patients. She takes her work to heart and is always available to patient needs.
Joseph A. Brenes, Medical Director
I was pleased to see that Corinne had asked me to say a few words as it relates to her opening up of her Residential Care Home. I couldn’t be more supportive of Corinne for in all the years that I have known her she has been a true leader; she has inspired others to go the extra mile. Her enthusiasm for her nursing skills has been impressive she has always treated others as if they were her family always with Compassion. She is one who has never shied away from any obstacles assuring that her residents receive the highest care possible.
